Product Introduction
WDF's PCD Non Standard Milling Cutter is made from polycrystalline diamond (PCD). It is hard, extremely wear-resistant, and offers high precision, making it particularly effective at cutting soft metals and non-conductive materials. If you have any special processing requirements, we can also customize it. We can adjust the toolholder thickness and number of blades to ensure it's perfectly suited to your workpiece.
PCD is incredibly hard (8000 HV, 120 times harder than carbide!), dissipates heat much better, and grinds very smoothly (with a coefficient of friction of only 0.1-0.3). This saves effort and ensures smooth cutting. It's effective on aluminum, copper, graphite, ceramics, and composites, producing smooth, clean surfaces without sticking to chips. During finishing, a single pass can shave 0.03 to 0.05 mm—thinner than a hair!
This milling cutter is available with shanks ranging from 4 to 20 mm in diameter and with one to six blades, perfect for your specific application. It spins incredibly fast (over 8000 rpm) and can reach speeds of 1500 to 5000 mm per minute, making it capable of slicing through even the most complex workpieces. It's currently used in applications such as aircraft parts, automotive components, graphite electrodes, and stone carving. It's particularly effective for cutting graphite, minimizing corner chipping and edge breakage, while delivering speed and accuracy.
Product Parameters
|
Geometry |
PCD Custom Milling Cutters |
|
Structure |
PCD (Polycrystalline Diamond) Head + Carbide Body |
|
Type |
Can be used for milling operations requiring special shapes, sizes, or precision, such as roughing and finishing complex contours and irregular surfaces, adapting to a variety of machining scenarios. |
|
Material |
PCD head (ultra-high hardness and wear resistance, suitable for machining high-hardness and wear-resistant materials); carbide body (provides excellent support and toughness). |
|
Processing Material |
Suitable for machining non-ferrous metals (such as copper, aluminum, and their alloys), non-metallic materials (such as carbon fiber, glass fiber-reinforced composites, and high-hardness plastics), and some high-hardness alloys. |
|
Other Characteristics |
The helix angle, number of flutes, and shank type can be customized upon request. The cutting edge is sharp and wear-resistant, and chip evacuation is optimized based on the custom geometry. Suitable for high-precision machining equipment such as CNC machines. |
|
Diameter |
Customization is available, with a minimum of approximately 1 mm and a maximum of 50 mm or more. Dimensional accuracy strictly matches custom requirements. |
Product Advantages
1. Durable! Wear-resistant! No need to constantly change cutters, saving money and effort. Whether you're cutting hard material or working for long stretches, it delivers reliable results.
2. We offer custom PCD non-standard milling cutters. We tailor the cutter to your exact needs, making it ideal for demanding projects. No matter how unusual the part shape or how delicate the work, our cutter can handle it perfectly.
3. Impeccable precision. It produces precise cuts to precise dimensions and shapes, reducing scrap and increasing efficiency.
4. It's truly effective for specialized materials. It cuts quickly, generates minimal heat, and is less prone to damage, resulting in exceptional efficiency. In short, choosing the WDF PCD non-standard milling cutter is a smart choice for both quality and cost-effectiveness.
