Product Introduction
WDF's Carbide Extrusion Taps are highly effective tools specifically for internal threading. Made of carbide, they utilize internal channels to deliver coolant directly to the cutting point. By leveraging the ability of metal to deform under compression, these taps can create highly accurate internal threads.
They consist of two parts: a handle for gripping and a cutting section for working. The handle has a water inlet that extends all the way to the tap's axis. The cutting section's outer wall features several chip removal grooves, each containing at least one water outlet. The water inlet and outlet are connected to form the internal cooling channel. Compared to external coolant injection, this internal coolant method allows coolant to flow directly into the tap, resulting in superior cooling effects. This lowers cutting temperatures, slows tap wear, extends tap life, and produces more polished threads.
To enhance their performance, these taps are often coated with a TiAlN coating, which provides increased wear resistance and reduced friction, allowing for smoother, easier operation with less torque. They are used in the automotive, aircraft, and electronics industries, and are highly effective at internal threading in materials such as aluminum alloys, medium-carbon steel, and alloy steels. They are particularly well-suited for high-speed cutting (high-speed cutting), deep hole drilling and threading, and other applications requiring exceptionally moist cooling (high cooling and lubrication requirements). Their benefits are evident in this application.

Product Advantages
1. Carbide Extrusion Taps feature an internal coolant design! Coolant flows directly from the tap's core to the cutting edge, providing exceptional cooling performance, even in hot weather. This method also helps the chips escape quickly, eliminating the risk of them getting stuck inside and jamming the tool or causing the work to go awry, improving both efficiency and quality.
2. Carbide base! Carbide is a hard and durable material, making it particularly suitable for tough materials like high-strength alloy steel and hardened steel. Thanks to its strength, the tap not only lasts longer but also works efficiently, saving time and money.
3. Chipless extrusion! This method uses "extrusion" rather than "cutting," resulting in threads with fewer burrs, a more regular shape, higher precision, and greater strength. This type of thread is not only sufficient for everyday work, but also for demanding and demanding fine work. It is widely used in machining, automotive parts, and precision molds.
